Composite Technician

Seeking a highly skilled & experienced Composite Technician that considers themselves a strong allrounder to bring their expertise to this role. This role will involve manufacture of the composite vessel components and mould maintenance operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure OH&S standards are always complied with
- Produce quality finishes to all gelcoated components
- Final processing of all manufactured GRP components
- Delivery of completed parts according to schedule in a timely manner
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and housekeeping
- Mould maintenance scheduling, preparation, upkeep and repair of production moulds
- Work with Lamination department managers to facilitate part and mould availability
- Ordering raw material and consumables
- Ensure strict quality control standards are adhered to
- Assist with training and supervising of apprentices

**Selection Criteria**:

- Strong communication and organization qualities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- 5+ years of composite technician/fiberglass manufacturing experience (boat building preferred) in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent time & organisational skills.
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
- You must be comfortable working in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- You must be willing to work to flexible hours (including weekends) where required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
