**About us**

Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne. The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process. The Alfred Psychology Department includes Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology Working across all sites and programs. The majority of psychologists work within the Mental and Addiction Health Program.

**What you’ll be doing**

The Psychology Educator (Clinical Psychology and Clinical-Neuropsychology) will join the newly established Psychology Education Team, led by the Principal Psychology Educator. The Psychology Education Team will collaboratively coordinate, develop, facilitate, and evaluate a broad range of professional development programs for Alfred Health psychology staff, post-graduate psychology students, and psychology registrars, across Alfred Mental and Addiction Health and Alfred Programs (Acute/Subacute services at The Alfred and Caulfield Hospital). The Psychology Educators will work together on a range of programs and projects, including collaboration with AMAH Educators, Allied Health Educators, and the Lived Experience Workforce. This will include coordination of the Psychology Student Placement Program, the Registrar Learning and Development Program, and Psychology Professional Development Program, and providing supervision. Psychology Educators will have a vital role to play in supporting the learning, development, and support needs of Alfred Health's psychology workforce.

**About you**
- A passion for providing psychology clinical education - including developing/delivering training, providing clinical supervision, and supporting the learning and development of psychologists in public health/mental health settings.
- Extensive postgraduate psychology experience at a senior level in mental health and acute/subacute health settings.
- Knowledge of the learning requirements and support structures for postgraduate students completing external placements, and the learning requirements for psychologists undertaking a registrar program.
- AHPRA registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009
- Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
- PsyBA endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist
- PsyPA approved supervisor
- At least 8-10 years’ experience working as a registered clinical or clinical neuropsychologist
- Completion of an Educational Qualification (desirable)
- Australian working rights
- Full Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination
- Be willing to undergo a Background Chec
