**About the role**

BaptistCare Warena Gardens is seeking a Catering/Servery Assistant on a **par time**basis to present and deliver high quality nutritious meals to our residents. You will enjoy working in a large team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents.

There are a variety of shifts available**:7am-2pm / 3pm-7pm**

**This role requires 32 hours per fortnight.**

Duties may include:

- Assistance in basic meal preparation and serving
- Making tea and coffee
- Assisting Chefs with food prep when required
- Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
- Checking and recording temperature of food
- Following all Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP program
- Assisting with deliveries of stock and stock rotation

**About you**

The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
- Previous kitchen/servery experience in a similar role
- Understanding of work health and safety practices
- Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
- Previous experience in aged care (desirable)
- Willingness to work as part of a busy, friendly team
- Strong focus, positive attitude and is well organised
- Excellent communication skills
