Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People & Culture Business Partner to join Service Stream in our People & Culture team based in our Melbourne office.
About the Role

Our People & Culture team are currently seeking an experienced HR professional to support the business through functional leadership on all aspects of HR processes and practices. The People & Culture Business Partner contributes to the overall Service Steam business through the provision of leadership, professional knowledge and expertise in the guidance, administration and support of relevant HR programs, processes and procedures in support of the company’s Vision, Purpose and Values.

Nature of position: Fixed Term, Full Time (12 Month Maternity Cover)

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Reporting Line: People & Culture Manager - Telecommunications

Key Responsibilities

This opportunity will suit an individual with a broad HR generalist background. You will be responsible for the following:

- Contribute to the strategic business plan, and take ownership of key people initiatives
- Interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards
- Assist with Negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
- Ensure Business Unit compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, relevant Awards/Enterprise Agreements
- Provision of HR advice and support to the Business Unit managers
- Facilitate HR support including recruitment, change management and performance management
- Maintain proactive relationships with key stakeholders including managers and employees
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of people processes and delivery across Service Stream
- Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with ongoing development of Business capabilities and talent acquisition strategy

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong HR generalist background, with business partner experience and approach. We are seeking an individual who has worked with a blended workforce including blue and white collar. In addition to your experience, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

- Experience in ER/IR matters
- Excellent ability to identify development needs and translate into training/improvement program
- A thorough understanding of industry practice
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
- High level of organisation and prioritisation skills
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation
- Communication skills of the highest level
