**STOREPERSON / PURCHASING OFFICER**

Due to a recent internal promotion, we are seeking an energetic individual who is organised, motivated and can build great working relationships.

The position of Storeperson will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the hotel’s stores, receiving and assisting in the purchasing of hotel consumables and other items.

**The operational requirements for this role include**:

- Ability to effectively handle all telephone enquiries from all departments and suppliers
- Ensuring that hotel expenses are minimised through the use of effective purchasing and by obtaining the most competitive prices for consumable goods and services
- Coordinating inventories to properly supply the operation's needs and maximise inventory turnover and space utilisation.
- Coordinating product and purchase specifications from the various heads
- Liaising with suppliers
- Ensuring the hotel receives goods and services to the specified standards at the best possible price
- Selecting reliable regular suppliers for all inventory items
- Placing all orders for non-inventory items

**Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful applicant will have the following experience;**
- Have worked in a stores area with responsibilities for the purchasing of goods
- Have an exceptional eye for detail
- Computer literacy in record keeping
- Prioritise, plan and carry out goods receiving activities
- Demonstrate effective problem solving skills
- Liaising with suppliers
- Maintaining occupational health and safety requirements by ensuring that work is carried out safely and securing all areas of work at all times

Your professional approach to carrying out your daily tasks will see you succeed in this position. You will have the ability to work unsupervised and willingness to manage your own workload with a can-do attitude.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working Monday to Friday with great work perks.
