Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced Marine Tanker Specialist to join the team in Perth, WA. The purpose of this position is to join the Bayu Undan Removal and Disposal department to progress the preparation and execution of the Bayu Undan asset removal and disposal activities.

**Core Accountabilities**:

- Mitigate or minimize risk to the business through proactive collaboration within the Bayu Undan Decommissioning (BUD) team
- Effective and timely engagement and collaboration with internal Santos stakeholders, external consultants, regulators, community stakeholders and service providers.
- Complies with all industry, company standards and processes.
- Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies
- Engagement/selection through execution and closeout, including progress reporting and cost tracking
- Package Engineer for coordinating and managing the contractor responsible for dismantling and disposing of recovered subsea items delivered to Tibar Port (steel buoys and flexible risers) from engagement/selection through execution and closeout, including progress reporting and cost tracking
- Package Engineer for coordinating and managing the contractor responsible for the provision of Tibar Port services required to support FSO decontamination alongside the Tibar wharf (wharfage, fenced project areas, two access towers, portable ablutions along with onsite catering services) from engagement/selection through execution and closeout, including progress reporting and cost tracking
- Supporting Project Engineer for the FSO decontamination scope
- Preparation of tender documentation including development of scopes of work, deliverables, technical and contractual clarifications
- Technical and commercial review of tendered submissions
- Supporting the procurement team through the contract award process
- Management of contractors to ensure their respective engineering includes safety in design
- Management of contractors to ensure they are meeting their contractual obligations and work is proceeding accordingly to approved schedules and approval plans
- Liaise with Company appointed marine warranty surveyor where applicable

Undertake studies where required to ensure:

- All risks are understood for scopes of wok planned
- methodologies utilised provide Company with the lowest cost and manageable risk
- Management of local content requirements within each work package
- Engagement and support of other package engineers for related FSO decommissioning scopes
- Willingness and availability to work on an equal time FIFO roster as offshore/site company representatives in Timor Leste

Support the Package Engineer with coordination and management of the F3 contractor responsible to take over operations of the FSO, from the Santos Operations team through the following stages

**Prestart - Preparation** for F3 contractor start up, including but not limited to risk assessments, contractor selection, hand over processes, collating training material, developing procedures where required, critical spares studies etc.

**Familiarization and Training** of F3 contractor personnel in the field, while the Santos operations team are still managing the facility.
- Manned tow and preparation for decontamination in Port.
- Management of operations in Port during cleaning operations (by other contractor).
- Departure caretaker mode - waiting for tow.

**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**

**Location for this assignment is Perth, WA, working full-time office hours with some requirement for travel.**

**About You**
- Writes clear concise, accurate, scopes of work of assigned scopes.
- Understand and provide insight on tender proposals, including technical and commercial clarifications
- Manage documents changes during project execution using MOC process.
- Identify risks in contractor procedures
- Support in the preparation of regulatory documentation required to obtain Government approval for removals and disposal activities.
- Manage time in a dynamic environment where delivery timelines are short and priorities are changing
- Manage contractors to ensure technical and contractual obligations are met
- Hold a Marine Master Class 1/ Chief officer with extensive hands-on experience with Oil tankers/FSO’s/ FPSO’s in managing the safe operation of tank (Condensate/ LPG) cleaning and CSE management for cleaning and decontamination.
