Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation**:the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.**

**About the opportunity**

**This position is a 12-month Fixed-term contract located in Tullamarine VIC
**Reporting to the General Manager - People and Culture, this role will be instrumental in providing support and advice including partnering with senior stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities**
- Competent in Fair Work Act, awards and enterprise agreement instruments and employee relations.
- Competent in on boarding and off boarding processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide general day to day HR expertise to line managers and employees.
- Work with line management groups to build and implement HR solutions in line with business needs.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR policies and procedures, for example disciplinary, grievance, termination matters. Facilitate the process where required.

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Extensive experience in HR Advisor role, with proven experience in managing HR functions across multiple disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
- Prior experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of its unique challenges and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee issues with discretion, integrity, and sound judgment.
- Solid understanding of Australian employment law and best practices, with experience in ensuring compliance and managing HR policies.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging and dynamic atmosphere, managing multiple priorities with a proactive and flexible approach
