We do almost everything in house which gives us a rare sense of unity of purpose in our vision to make better products and experiences for our customers. Our 60+ person team is very passionate, and includes Product Development, Story and Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Technology.

We are growing rapidly with significant expansion plans taking place over the next two years - making it a very exciting time for a new P&C lead to join the team and be part of this journey.

The People & Culture (P&C) team works together to recruit, engage, develop and support our team. We are a small team with strong morale, and we share a lot of pride in what we achieve everyday - both externally by making a difference to the lives of our customers and internally in how we value and support our staff.

**The role**

The P&C function is established, and we are now looking for someone to manage the team as we scale. You will be undertaking the usual P&C functions. The role will involve connecting our strategic growth objectives and managing recruitment as we scale. Other functions include delivering purposeful L&D programs as well as organising regular cultural events to bring together our teams.
- Full-time position (however we will consider flexible hours)
- 12-month maternity leave cover with the possibility of extension
- Based in our modern office at 8 Carlton Street Prahran. A proportion of the time as hybrid hours can be negotiated as possible as the role progresses.

Your focus will be:

- Oversee the typical P&C function which includes Learning & Development, Recruitment, People Experience, OHS & Office Experience as guided by company strategic objectives.
- Facilitate our monthly organisation-wide meeting.
- Deliver our cultural & wellness calendar events & initiatives.
- Design & facilitate Learning & Development programs.
- Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for any new hires.
- Work with senior managers to build a positive employee experience.
- You are excited to work with Sleeping Duck as we scale our operations.

- You are someone who can get along with others with no fuss and fold into the team with ease.

- You can take direction, connect with and understand the strategic vision of the company and assist the founder's evolving priorities for the team.

- You are easily approachable and have experience managing small teams.
- You are a strong facilitator with exposure to L&D
- Understanding and experience in OHS would be great but not required.
- You are enthusiastic to work with our team because you connect with Sleeping Duck's vision for sleep and expansion.
