House Manager

We have a rare opening for a House Manager to join the team in Goulburn and actively manage one of our SIL homes. This position is perfect for someone who wants to support a team of Disability Support Workers create a safe environment and meaningful opportunities for people with disability.

We are looking for a personable leader who has previous experience in a similar position leading a team. Someone with great communication skills, naturally empathetic, proactive and can manage stakeholder and team relationships both internal and external - including the families of our participants.

**Your role**:

- To support our participants and their direct support workers to understand the need for consistency & connection whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- You are responsible for the effective management and operation of SIL accommodation services.
- Report into our Cluster Manager and Divisional Director
- Understand and demonstrate the importance of person-centered active support by giving participants choice and control to take control of their lives
- Help develop and implement NDIS plans and ensure participants have a voice
- Performance management conflict resolution when necessary
- Understand the importance for reflective practice in the planning & reviews of supports & future learning.
- Ability to coach and mentor staff and motivate the team through challenges.

**Essential**
- Qualification in the Social Services or relevant domain e.g. social work, psychology, disability, mental health, etc. or relevant industry experience (minimum Cert 4 equivalent).
- People leadership experience & demonstrated outcomes management.
- Knowledge of relevant disability legislation, standards e.g. NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, the National Standards for Disability Services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing supports to adults living with complex mental health diagnoses and/or psychosocial disability.
- Experience and understanding or NDIS practice standards specifically around Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices, and continuous improvement plans.
- Understand & be able to implement risk management strategies and procedures to minimise all areas of identified risk.
- First Aid | CPR Certification | WWCC | NDISWC
