**Shape Your Future within QIC’s Finance team as Tax Counsel. Make a real impact in a dynamic investment management environment.**

Due to internal promotion, this exciting opportunity has become available on a permanent basis reporting to the General Manager, Tax at QIC.

**This role encompasses a breadth of responsibilities, but in a nutshell you will**:

- Provide specialist tax advice, structuring and transaction support to our Investment and Corporate teams.
- Directly contribute to the development and implementation of the enterprise tax strategy.
- Ensure QIC complies with domestic and international tax laws and regulations.
- Support the strategic delivery of Australian and international tax matters for projects including acquisition due diligence, post-acquisition implementation, new product and fund structures, general income tax and indirect tax advice, and ongoing asset monitoring. Support, supervise, and coach a team of tax professionals.

**Who you are**:

- A qualified CA, CPA, or CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor) with a Masters of Tax or similar.
- Extensive experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or large corporate/financial services environment.
- Proven track record of successfully advising on domestic and international tax matters, structuring investments, and navigating complex statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
