Bedford is an iconic, South Australian not-for-profit organisation that has been operating in the disability sector for over 75 years. As the largest employer for people with disability in South Australia, the organisation supports over 1,600 people across 17 sites through meaningful employment that builds independence and wellbeing, skills and capacity, teamwork and growth opportunities. Bedford is also an NDIS provider that offers exceptional tailored services to meet individual goals, in the workplace and in the broader community. With an emphasis on diversity, acceptance, inclusion and belonging, Bedford exists to support people with disability to live the life they choose.
Bedford is now seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for remunerated positions on the Board to make a positive difference within the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Attending and contributing to monthly Board meetings;
- Providing input and expertise to assist in the Board’s decision-making;
- Identifying and developing initiatives to add value to South Australia’s disability sector;
- Participating in special purpose sub committees;
- Reviewing all activities and performance of business management;
- Ensuring that business decisions reflect and align with the organisation’s Strategic Plan and values.
