Privately owned manufacturing business located in Padstow is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as the Logistics Coordinator to manage the domestic shipments. In the position you will be given a variety of functions to keep you challenged and engaged. To be an eligible applicant you must have previous experience in Logistics with preference to domestic transport.
**Duties & responsibilities include**:
- Arrange and manage all local and interstate transport
- Prepare all required shipping documents using MYOB
- Perform quality inspection of inventory in accordance with quality assurance guidelines specific to that product and/or customer
- Prepare a daily inbound and outbound delivery schedule
- Review and compare all freight expenses against original quotation / expected pricing
- Undertake regular reviews of existing domestic freight pricing and service offerings
- Support sales personnel in the handling of customer sales and enquiries
- Participate in client site visits as required
- Participate in sales conferences and expositions as required
- Work with productions to ensure the smooth running and operation of the warehouse and inwards/outwards areas
- Work with the Production Manager to establish production planning in line with sales commitments
**Experience & skills required**:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Experience in Logistics with preference to domestic freight
- Strong administration skills with a high level of accuracy
- High level of customer service
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Organised with the ability to prioritise
