**About the business and the role**

Accent Blinds in Queensland is a very well established manufacturing business based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. We are looking for a committed individual to help with our Blind production. This will be a **permanent position**.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**

38 hrs per week. Mon-Wed 7am-4.30pm, Thu-Fri 7am-12.30pm.

Your duties would involve:

- Assembly of Roller, Roman, and Verishade Blinds
- Sewing of bottom pockets of roller blinds
- Cutting fabric

As a blind assembler, you will learn all aspects of roller blind and verishade manufacture, from cutting to assembly and packing.

Other duties would involve
- Assisting in moving roller fabric
- Checking the finished product
- Packing and labelling
- Working accurately to measurement

You will have the opportunity to learn many other aspects of Blinds Manufacturing.

**Skills and experience**
- You need to be able to work in a team environment
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Have own car and licence
- Quick with your hands, and have an eye for detail
- Be a motivated individual with the ability to learn new tasks quickly

**Salary**: $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nerang, QLD 4211: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Blind Assembly: 2 years (required)
