We're a leading Central Coast digital marketing agency specialising in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) web design, Google ads and Facebook ads, and are located in Point Clare (just 7 minutes drive from Gosford or 5-minutes drive (or 20-minute walk) from the Point Clare train station).

In a normal world, you'll be working here at the office in Point Clare. But naturally, you'll be working from home for a while, until things settle down. Lucky for us, all our work is in the cloud, so we can work from home effortlessly, working on/for people's websites, etc.

Full training in all things SEO and online marketing will be provided by one of Australia’s leading SEO experts (who has been doing SEO since 1999/2000). But naturally, if you've already got experience in SEO and digital marketing, then you're ahead of the game. And if you're STUDYING MARKETING or a related field, then that is a big bonus as this work experience will be invaluable for you when you graduate (and we’ll happily give you a glowing reference, etc, if all goes well).

The bare minimum you'll need for this job is to be computer/internet savvy and have an active interest in online marketing, websites, etc. So if you don't know the difference between a search engine and a fire engine, or between a keyword and a key chain, then this isn't going to be the position for you...

You'll spend a lot of your day working through Excel sheets, so ideally you'll be a wiz (or at the very least, competent) at Excel. And will be VERY detail orientated.

Oh, if you’ve worked with WordPress websites (as either a designer or coder) and/or understand how the backend of a WordPress website functions, then that’s a huge plus too (though by no means compulsory).

Any additional skills you bring to the table (such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or whatever) are a bonus (though are not required in the normal day-to-day job you'll be doing).

One deal-breaker to get this job is: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WRITE WELL. We don’t expect you to be Shakespeare or Chekov, but you must be able to write well to do this job, as websites involve words strung together into pesky things called sentences

- Q: what will the work entail?_

A: The short answer is ‘SEO/Digital Marketing’. The longer answer is: ‘SEO, both on-page and off-page; with link-building being the day to day priority. Writing or re-working website copy as required. Running mail chimp/EDM campaigns. And occasionally posting on social media.

As mentioned, full training will be given, so you don't have to have industry experience (though we don't mind if you do, of course). And this is THE PERFECT JOB FOR STUDENTS SEEKING ON-GOING PART-TIME WORK.
- Q: could this lead to more hours/days and maybe even full-time work?_

A: the short answer is 'Yes'. The longer answer is: 'It completely depends on your aptitude and abilities (once trained). We’re looking to start people off part-time for obvious reasons, but if you’re good at the job, and if you want more days moving forward, then more days can potentially be made available to you.
- Q: do I need my own PC laptop?_

A: Yes. You'll be working on your own, personal laptop when you're here at the office or working from home.
- Q: could I change my days if my study timetable or personal circumstance change?_

A: the short answer is 'Yes'. The longer answer is: 'Normal days are Monday, Wednesday or Friday, 11.30 pm to 4.30 pm, but days can be flexible if your uni schedule or circumstances etc, change.

Q: what does this role pay?
A: $25 p/h (over 21) or $20 p/h (under 21)
- Q: do I need an ABN to work for you?_

A: The short answer is ‘Yes’ The longer answer is: ‘These are rolling contract positions that pay $25 per hour, not PAYE positions, so you'll NEED AN ABN to invoice us at the end of each month in order to get paid. And without an ABN we cannot consider you for the roles advertised.

Note: if you don't yet have an ABN - it's free to get one and registration only takes about 10 minutes online. There are loads of official government sites etc that can help you get an ABN very quickly.
