**Your contribution as a Principal Project Officer**:

- Provide professional scientific leadership on water planning assessment and research, consistent with the Department's vision and priorities.
- Lead across-agency scientific assessment and research and monitoring projects on land and water management issues concerning water planning and the relationships to environmental flows, water quality and habitat condition; includin issues associated with flow regulation.
- Contribute to strategic planning.
- Provide comprehensive, high quality scientific and technical information and advice to management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with and develop inter
- and intra-state networks, linkages and partnerships with industry representatives, research funding agencies, educational institutions, other natural resource agencies, community groups, staff and other clients to ensure the ongoing relevance of the information and services provided.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
