We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Workplace Solutions central function as a Projects Planning & Controls Leadbased in Melbourne, VIC (flexible location).
Workplace Solutions is an enterprise shared service and business partner under the Chief Operating Officer Group. Accountable for corporate real-estate services and property assets management across Australia, Workplace Solutions assures the portfolio remains fit for purpose which constitutes the reliable provision of Built Environments in the required location, with the necessary functionality that is safe, compliant and cost effective.
As Projects Planning & Controls Lead you will be responsible for the maintenance of Workplace Solutions Investment Projects pipeline and resource demand forecast tools, ensuring the Function can adequately monitor and report on Investment Projects performance (cost, schedule and quality).

**Your new role**:
**As a Projects Planning & Controls Leadyou will**:
- Maintain Workplace Solutions Investment Projects pipeline;
- Maintain Workplace Solutions Investment Projects - resource demand forecast;
- Establish and maintain project baselines using BAE Systems Project Controls tools (Including Open Plan, Microsoft Project, Oracle ERP and Cobra).
- Partner with WPS costbase accountant to establish and maintain project Cost & Booking Accounts, ensuring traceability to financial approval and budget allocations.
- Make a positive contribution to project Learning from Experience undertakings
- Provide ‘month end' financial data and insights to project leads and WPS financial accountant to enable / align monthly business reporting.
- Process project Baseline Change Requests (BCR) to assure project cost reporting accuracy and performance.
- Update WPS Investment Report ‘CSR' tab and financials for applicable projects and ensure Investment PMs understand budget position, variances etc.
- Assists the Investment PM or Project lead with variance analysis and project planning.
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Ability to see patterns, trends and analyze cost / schedule data for irregularities or missing pieces.
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside his/her immediate team, to implement business requirements.
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under his/her own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- In depth knowledge of Project Controls principles and tools.
- Working knowledge of quantifiable analysis of risk and uncertainty.
