**About the role**:
Medical Receptionists are valued as the integral element in the efficient day-to-day operation of Royal Park Medical. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, our Medical Receptionists are supported by our 2IC to offer patient-focussed administrative support on behalf of doctors and nurses. A permanent, part time role is available, offering a minimum of 24 hours/week, across 3 weekdays. The role requires participation in a rotating Saturday roster as well as leave coverage as necessary. Remuneration is above award for HPSS Level 3, commensurate with experience. This is a rare opportunity to become part of an amazing, well-established team and remain for the duration of your career.

Tasks and Responsibilities:The following areas are an indication of the role of a Medical Receptionist Royal Park Medical
- Accurate appointment book management for doctors and nurses
- Accurate database maintenance
- Accurate billing and transmissions of rebates/claims to relevant third parties
- Upholding practice policies, protocols and procedures, with particular attention to privacy and confidentiality
- Courteous phone manner, providing solutions to patients within the scope of the role of a Medical Receptionist
- Administrative level phone triage with adherence to appropriate escalation as needed
- Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in general practice
- Familiar with Best Practice Software, Cliniko, Microsoft Outlook and AutoMed or similar
- Understanding of Medicare requirements where this relates to the role of a Medical Receptionist
- CPR, Hand Hygiene, COVID Infection Control certificates are highly regarded
