**The role**

We currently have an opportunity for a laboratory technician to join our NATA accredited team on a permanent full time basis.

**Working primarily at the Port Melbourne laboratory**, this position will see you gain exposure to the compliance testing of aggregates, sands and roadbase.

Your primary duties will include a broad range of field sampling, testing, equipment calibration and computer-based analysis.

This is a unique chance for you to expand your sampling and testing skills and gain practical hands-on experience throughout multiple quarry operations and projects across Victoria.

This position requires a Monday to Friday roster with some out of hours and weekend work.

**Responsibilities**
- Sample and test aggregate materials in the lab and the field
- Analyse and report accurate results
- Adhere to procedures and work systems
- Perform equipment calibration and basic maintenance
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained

**What you will need to succeed**
- Experience in a similar sampling and testing role
- Experience with VIC testing standards
- Australian driver license
- Desirable but not essential Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques
- Construction Industry White Card
- Strong analytical thinking skills
