**About the role**
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Drill and Blast Supervisor at our Yiilgarn, Iron ore operations. You will be responsible for providing support to the drill and blast crews whilst ensuring statutory requirements and provide leadership and direction to support the onsite drilling and blasting function in a timely, professional, and safe manner.
This is a FIFO role on a 8/6 roster from Perth on a owned and operated MinRes site.
- Maintain and improve the Drill and Blast process; Ability to identify continuous improvement initiatives
- Undertake Drill and Blast related project investigations into problematic material blasting result and provide staged improvement strategies
- Liaise with Drill and Blast team and contractors to ensure daily, weekly and monthly production and quality conforms to plans
- Implement weekly and monthly reporting, operating schedules, plans and designs
- Maintain and foster a working environment which prompts safety in all that we do, whilst also providing outstanding service

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in drill and blast in an open pit environment
- Exposure to mining contract management
- Current WA’s drivers licence
- Current Senior First Aid certificate
- Hold WA Unrestricted Quarry Manager’s ticket (or working towards it)
- Strong focus on safety and fostering a zero harm culture
