**About the Role**:
As the Secondary School Industrial Technology Design/Art Teacher Aide you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

- Assisting teachers and students with Industrial Technology activities and equipment.
- Assisting with the management and stocktaking of Industrial Technology equipment and resources, including compliance with ITD Maintenance Register and Chemwatch procedures.
- Clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and work programs, duplicating/ photocopying teaching materials, checking bus lists, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students results records, assisting in organising off-site activities.
- Assisting in the supervision of education activities such as; setting up the workshop/classroom prior to demonstration of a lesson by the teacher or in preparation for students themselves to partake in a practical lesson, setting out items required for a woodwork or metalwork class including planks of timber, hand tools, sheets of MDF, machinery such as saws, drills, welders and moving machinery and equipment between workshops under the direction of a teacher.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
