The Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focussing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime.
Youth Justice Custodial Services aim to engage young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation, within a safe and secure environment. The Reception Services Officer role reports to the Business Services Unit, that is responsible for administration and stores services.
**The**opportunity**
- Ongoing, full-time position based in Parkville.
- VPS2 role: $60,295 - $77,430 per year plus super.
- Deliver quality reception services to service providers and members of the public by maintaining a welcoming professional manner
- Provide reception & Front Office Management; Fleet Management; Administrative & Office Support; Mail, Records & Communication support.
- Deliver administrative and office support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Keep accurate and complete records of all work activities in line with legislative, privacy, and information security requirements.
**To be successful in this role you will have experience providing reception and administrative services preferably within a government environment.**
A current driver's licence is required.
You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
