MARINE RE OPERATIONS Pty Ltd is based in Marrickville, Sydney and is recruiting a “-Experienced” Mechanical/ General Fitter -Focus on Designing & Fabrication to lead the creation of prototypes and the low volume manufacturing of early commercial product.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- ,Manufacturing, Checking and Installing components for a Tidal Turbines for the Renewable Energy sector.
- Reading and understanding mechanical drawings using Solid Works software/ Fusion - 3D- 2D, Auto CAD.
- Creating new mechanical prototypes in Metals such as: Stainless Steel, Brass, Aluminium and Carbon Steel. Performing: TIG Welding, MIG Welding, Brasing Weld,Stick Weld and Others similars
- knowledge of Lathe and Milling machines.
- Leading the work tasks and providing support and problem solving to our clients.
- Producing Quality control checks and manufacturing planning.
- Producing measurement reports for all turbine components before assembly using calipers, etc.

**Requirements**:
Qualified Mechanical/General Fitter or equivalent.

Knowledge with 2D and 3D CAD, including reading manufacturing/assembly drawings

Qualifications and experience as a TIG Welder,including experience in Stainless Steel.

Ability to manage and repair mechanical components such Hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.

Previous experience working in a StainlessSteel Clean environment.

Knowledge in quality control and Preventive Maintenance.

MIG and TIG welding experience and familiarity with pressure/vacuum sealing and testing.

Knowledge of Automation and electrical Components will be a extra.

Forklift knowledge.

Ability to diagnose and fault find problems

Acceptable communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to work unsupervised and successfully in a workshop environment.

A respectful person towards staff members and customers.

A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship.

This is a full-time position.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $141,362.03 per year
