**About the role**
- This 12-month position is targeted towards prevocational doctors pursuing additional experience in Paediatric medicine. The position involves a 6-month Paediatric rotation (both in the inpatient and outpatient setting), as well as 6-months in the Paediatric Emergency Department. You will see a broad range of medical and surgical presentations in children and will be well-supported by on-site registrar and consultant supervision.**Key responsibilities**:

- Participate in on-going assessment of competencies via a mid and end of term unit assessment
- Work under the supervision and support of the registrar or consultant to further develop general clinical and decision-making skills
- Assume responsibility for patient care in accordance with the care model of the ward/unit, ensuring that clinical procedures are performed in accordance with Western Health policy and procedure
- Ensure quality patient care via clinical assessment, admissions and development of management plans

**About you**:

- Hold or be eligible for medical registration with AHPRA;
- Have completed a minimum of 2 years full time medical employment post Primary Medical Degree (e.g. MBBS); and
- Meet AHPRA's recency of practice requirements for medical registration.
