We are excited to share that we have opened a new leadership opportunity for a **Business Group Leader - Rail **to lead our **South Queensland Rail Group **based in **Brisbane **.

As the **Business Group Leader - Rail **, you will have the unique opportunity to blend your skills in leading and developing people, excellence in client engagement, successfully pursuing and delivering multi-disciplinary projects and driving excellence in business performance for your group. You will work closely with the General Manager and the Transport Market Leader for South Queensland and be supported by other Business Group Leaders and our Business Development and Marketing Team as we together deepen GHD’s presence and capability across the Transport sector.

**Working on a diverse range of projects and clients, you will**:

- Lead and develop our people
- Develop and realise business opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth of the Rail group revenue
- Manage Business Group commercial performance
- Provide vision and direction for the South Queensland Rail business that links with GHD’s Australian Transport Market strategy and supports the ambitions of the broader South Queensland Transport market offering
- Be well-connected and influential, building and developing relationships with existing and potential clients and partners
- Provide leadership to the Business Group in line with GHD’s values and purpose
- Build effective relationships with other Business Group Leaders in the region and nationally and with Market Leaders and Technical Service Line Leaders nationally.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- You will have a technical background, with BSc. Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferably RPEQ status).
- 15+ years Professional experience within an engineering consultancy
- Demonstrated technical capability across Rail engineering
- Effective & proven business development, networking, and client relationship management skills
- Proven track record to lead a team of specialists with a wide range of skills and experience
- Ability to develop lasting client relationships based on trust and delivery excellence
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects from proposal to completion
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
- Provide technical leadership, often in multi-disciplinary teams for planning, feasibility studies and detailed design project phases.
