**About the role**:
To manage a team of electrical plant and test technical specialists (employees and contractors) to deliver allocated projects to meet PNS and client requirements as measured by time, quality and cost.
The majority of time will be spent undertaking project delivery, monitoring, resource allocation, workgroup leadership, employee development, technical mentoring and operational contractor management.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Develop project delivery plans in conjunction with the Commissioning Engineer and Project Managers to include resourcing and materials programming. Manage multidiscipline resource teams (including contractors) and equipment on concurrent projects in accordance with corporate and statutory requirements
- Monitor project and resource performance (including project reporting) and take action to ensure compliance with project scope.
- Leading of people on maintenance and major construction projects to ensure project success
- Management of project delivery personnel on a day to day basis
- Provide information and feedback on design input for Primary Plant activities to the Engineering group
- Develop innovative solutions to improve customer service with regards to cost, quality and delivery
- Provide technical expertise and support to Project Managers in the development of project schedules
- Investigate OHS&E issues, accidents and near misses
- Participate and promote OHS&E activities and initiatives
- Ensure all project activities are undertaken in accordance with OHS&E legislation and requirements.

**To succeed in the role you’ll have**:

- Previous experience working as a Power Systems Worker (Electrical Fitter) or similar.
- Proven ability to manage electrical plant and tests major construction projects ensuring related quality, cost and timeframes are met
- Experience leading a large and diverse technical workforce would be desired
- Technical / Electrical Trade Certificate
- Completion or partial completion of management, leadership, commercial or similar program is an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance issues, Occupational Health Safety Act and distribution standards and codes
