We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic **Middle Years School Officer (Teacher Aide)** to provide personalized support for a student with extensive needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping to create an enriching educational experience tailored to the individual needs of the student.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the broader team to create the best possible learning opportunities for students.
- Provide personalised support for a student with extensive needs, ensuring their individual learning and wellbeing are prioritized.
- Assist classroom teachers with managing and organising daily classroom activities and resources.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support, offering guidance with learning tasks and assisting students in staying on task.
- Prepare instructional materials and set up learning resources to ensure students have everything needed for their learning experience.
- Foster a nurturing, positive, and encouraging classroom environment where every student feels valued.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor and track student progress, providing feedback that helps inform future teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the broader life of the school, supporting both academic and social aspects of the students’ development.
- Uphold and support the Catholic ethos and values of St Eugene’s College.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
