We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide high-needs support in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment in Mount Barker, SA. This casual role offers the potential for full-time equivalent hours, including active sleepover shifts, with opportunities for additional work in day options, excursions, mentoring, and respite programs.

**About the Role**:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide daily living support, personal care, and active sleepover assistance for a high-needs client in a SIL setting. This role requires hands-on support, patience, and strong problem-solving skills, ensuring clients receive the highest level of care and dignity in their daily lives.

You will also have the opportunity to pick up shifts across multiple programs, gaining valuable experience while expanding your professional skill set.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Supporting active overnight (sleepover) shifts, ensuring client safety and well-being
- Assisting with community participation and social engagement
- Implementing behavior support strategies in line with individual care plans
- Encouraging independence, choice, and skill development
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience supporting individuals with high needs and complex behaviors (essential)
- Strongly preferred: Experience in aged care and/or dementia patient care
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight active sleepover shifts
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Current DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening, and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (essential)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 38 per week
