This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the Role:
Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning and landscaping.
Undertake basic building and facility maintenance (minor repairs, pressure cleaning, clearing gutters, etc.).
Ensure outdoor learning and play areas are clean, tidy and hazard-free.
Operate and maintain gardening and power tools safely.
Assist with school events setup/pack down and other duties as directed by the Principal or Business Manager.
Monitor and report any safety or maintenance issues.

High Desirable Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in grounds or property maintenance.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
Physically fit and capable of manual work in all weather conditions.
Trade background or handyman skills.
Experience in a school or similar environment.
Familiarity with maintenance scheduling or asset management systems.
A blue card (or willing to obtain one).
