**Description**:
Aged Care Worker - Catering Assistant
We are seeking for team members who takes pride in their work and in their kitchen, operates safely, effectively and efficiently and has the ability to communicate respectfully with colleagues and with older people. You'll take pride in the delivery and service of meals across dining areas within a residence and can work with other catering team members and assist with the preparation of basic food if required.
Responsibilities include setting up food trays based on resident’s dietary requirements and general cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas including washing dishes, cleaning floors and stock replenishment. It is essential that a consistently high standard of food service is provided to our residents, and you adhere to the safety (WHS) health, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.
**To succeed in this role, you will have**:
Minimum 1 year experience working in a similar role, in an aged care setting
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and as part of a small team
High regard and respect for our residents
Excellent customer service focus
Understanding of and commitment to WHS requirements
Working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Safety Guidelines
Food Safety Handling Certificate
Have full working rights with no restrictions.
