Building Surveying Technical Officer

**Days & Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday, totalling 38 hours per week
**Competitive Salary**:Band 4 $70,848.26 + 11% superannuation
**Location**:Hybrid working from Corporate Centre in Sandringham and from home

**About the Role**:
**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Attained or currently enrolled in and undertaking the Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying or Bachelor of Building Surveying at a recognised Institution.
- Experience in the Building Industry is highly recommended.
- Knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles of the Building Act, Building Regulations, Building Code of Australia and other related statutes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of service to customers,
- Ability to effectively use computers and type reports, including the use of databases, MS office, and GIS software. Experience in TRIM, Authority, REX (CRM) and TRAPEZE is an advantage.
- High level oral and written English communication skills including proficiency at letter writing, assessment and recommendation reports, evidence and practice notes, and plan reading skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment,
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Australian citizen or to provide evidence that you have permanent visa status.

**Mandatory pre-employment requirements**:

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
- Pre employment medical check
