Due to our strategic objective of ensuring the quality of all products purchased, cost control, taking inventory records and other key processes, we are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to join our vibrant and committed team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy driving continuous improvement, this role is for you.

**Key Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to the following aspects**:

- Experience in a similar position of Retail Buyer in the food industry
- Staying abreast of the latest trends through industry reports, social media, trade shows and fashion show
- Seeking out new suppliers and building relationships
- Reviewing and evaluating the current offerings available from suppliers
- Determining which goods to purchase and in what quantities
- Negotiating purchase terms with suppliers
- Analysing inventory data to identify strong and weak sellers
- Generating reports and forecasts
- Advising marketing and merchandising departments on the best ways to display and promote items
- To understand stakeholders specific issues and needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross functional team

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Ability to communicate concerns and solutions to different stakeholders with varying degrees of business knowledge
- Advanced ability to review and generate reports using windows software
- Ability to navigate our information system and perform all functions with regards to stock movement
- IT literate with knowledge of distribution and logistics software
