**Role Description/Criteria**
The successful applicant will:
- maintain and upkeep all lawns and gardens to a high standard. This includes: regular mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilising and clearing. Keeping gardens attractive; colourful, neat and tidy.
- keep the school site (internal/external) free of rubbish, and unsafe items (e.g. fallen branches, leaves, gumnuts, etc.)
- be responsible for the caring of building and ground services, including maintenance and repairs. Regular and ongoing maintenance to buildings, equipment, fences, reticulation and grounds should be scheduled
- provide support to members of the school community especially classroom teachers. Requests for maintenance and other assistance will be made through the online Maintenance Request form. Online tickets to be checked on a daily basis (e.g. marking of grounds for Sports Days and attending to damaged sports equipment, help with moving of furniture and stock when required.
- communicate to the Principal any needs and concerns related to grounds and maintenance.
- upkeep and maintain all equipment and tools.
- communicate with and supervise any trade contractors when requested by the Principal.
- Other duties at the discretion of the Principal.
The successful applicant must:
- hold a current driver’s licence.
- provide a Working with Children’s Check & be prepared to sign a Child Safety Code of Conduct
- be self-motivated, be able to work with minimum supervision and to be a good model to others.
- demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
- demonstrate support for the Catholic ethos of our school
