**Room Leader & Supervisor Position**

**Mt Hutton, Belmont Nth, Adamstown & Toronto Locations**

**Full Time & Part Time Options - ECT, & Diploma (or almost complete Diploma)**

Kinda Kapers is a family owned Long Daycare centre with locations across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. We cater for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, and have been educating and caring for the children of the Hunter for over 30 years

We are seeking a nurturing, caring, energetic, and motivated, qualified & experienced educators to join our team - Diplomas & ECTs. We would also happily discuss with Cert III educators that have almost completed their Diploma.

- An approved Working with Children’s Check

**Trained Applicants are required to have;**
- An ACECQA approved a Diploma or ECT Degree.
- First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to plan, program and engage with children in their learning experiences.

**Room Leader Responsibilities Include**:

- Overseeing the preparation of materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities.
- Planning, preparing, and conducting educational and recreational activities for children.
- Assisting children to manage their behavior and guiding their social development.
- Coordinating and overseeing the daily routines of children.
- Ensuring the hygiene and safety of children within the room.
- Communicating with other Educators and Families in the best interest of the children.

**Must have**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Approachable, friendly, caring, and positive nature.
- Able to work as a team member.
- A genuine passion for educating and caring for children.
- A degree of flexibility as moving between centres may be required.
- Experience across all ages groups.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 38 per week
