Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Cut, assemble, fit, and attach metal-framed glass enclosures for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, and other structures.
- Drive trucks to installation sites, and unload mirrors, glass equipment, and tools.
- Install pre-assembled metal or wood frameworks for windows or doors to be fitted with glass panels, using hand tools.
- Operate cranes or hoists with suction cups to lift large, heavy pieces of glass.
- Set glass doors into frames, and bolt metal hinges, handles, locks, and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls.
- Cut and attach mounting strips, metal or wood moldings, rubber gaskets, or metal clips to surfaces in preparation for mirror installation.
- Ensure installed glass is set with appropriate weather seal.
- Reading and interpreting drawings for glass installation.
- Replace and install glass as required of the project.
- De-glaze and re-glaze broken glass.
- Rig tension lines where needed and supervise others in lifting scenarios
- Ensure best rigging practices are in place before the glass is lifted and check sucker unit for optimum performance.
- Work within a health and safety framework.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Relevant Qualification or previous experiences in similar roles
**Desirable**:
- Good Communication skill and Team Player
**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
