- degree or diploma qualified in Geospatial Science, Geoscience, Geography, or Environmental Science with a strong focus on GIS
- 3-5 years’ experience in GIS consulting
- expert knowledge in GIS and excellent understanding of ESRI desktop GIS software
- knowledge of the ESRI online platform
- Python and FME skills are desirable but not essential
- georeferencing skills and a solid understanding of coordinate systems
- strong cartographic skills
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency using Microsoft Office Products, including desktop and O365
- ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently
- ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- positive attitude.
**About the Position**
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- map figure creation and spatial analysis to meet project needs
- spatial data management
- assist in the digitization of spatial and non spatial data
- assist in managing, updating and creating online GIS data and platforms
- convert, update, and review the quality of GIS data and outputs in various formats
- provide and support mobile spatial data capture solutions
- work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- develop effective working relationships in a team environment
- work with experienced senior geospatial consultants
- Newcastle based, supporting our wider Australian teams.
