**Job Description**:
**Your New Role**

We're currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Innovation Champion to work with us on one of our large Defence accounts. You will have overall responsibility for driving Innovation and continual service improvement across the engagement, and will establish the framework where innovation and co-investment can bring efficiencies to our client. Reporting to the Vice President IT Services, and working in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer, you will set the direction and push the bounders of what is technically possible for our client, ensuring our obligations and commitments are met.

You will be working in one of Australia’s largest and most complex IT environments, delivering solutions and integrating state-of-the-art commercial technologies. Whilst leading executive-level engagements with the client, you will demonstrate where innovations can be applied across the three planning horizons, and will assist in evaluating new and emerging technologies and securing executive support and sponsorship for Proof of Concepts (POCs) associated with innovation. This individual will:

- Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement in service delivery across the account;
- Set the vision and culture for innovation across all Services and support people, systems and processes;
- Establish and manage the channels and processes for effective identification, assessment and delivery of innovations;
- Design, implement and manage the innovation launchpad;
- Design and delivery of the innovation Dashboard Reports; and
- Be accountable for the overall success of the innovation program.

You will have an inspiring and collaborative leadership style and the ability to communicate the strategic vision effectively. You will work alongside our automation, service design, portfolio management, and product management teams to play a significant role in shaping our future offering. As a member of the IT Services Senior Leadership Team, you will work effectively with your peers to help provide thought leadership, strategic foresight and direction including through the stewardship of POCs.

**The role’s responsibilities extend to**:

- Coordinating and facilitating effective executive relationships across a complex multi-vendor organisation
- Providing analytical insights into return on investment, cost optimisation, cost reduction or other value creation initiatives to enable prioritisation of effort
- Establishing Proof of Concepts / Product Demonstrators to advance our standing with the client, whilst delivering innovations that support our evolving Portfolio of Services and move the client towards an Evergreen model supported by our current offerings
- Ensuring and reinforcing CSI process adherence to align with the department’s delivery methods and expected outcomes.

You will have previously operated in a similar transformation / innovation role working with large Federal Government clients and bring either a Technology Evangelist, Client Architect, or Account management focus to the role.
