Contracts Advisor

Clough is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 development, near Dongara, Western Australia. We are currently searching for a Contract Advisor to join the Commercial Team in Perth. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Contract Advisor will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project construction personnel to administer subcontracts for the Waitsia Gas Project.

What you will bring to the team:
Your focus will include:
- Tendering, negotiation, formation and execution of assigned subcontracts.- Review project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts to reflect subcontracting strategy on project.- Effective administration of all subcontracts to optimise earnings on project.- Preparation of all claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the assigned subcontracts.- Processing invoices and payments in Oracle.- Management and resolution of all claims with subcontractors / suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards.- Review and certification of subcontractor’s progress payment claims in accordance with the timeframes under the relevant subcontract.- Provide input to cost control and forecasting of final cost at completion position for assigned subcontracts.- Provide commercial and contract advice and support to project team managing the assigned subcontracts.

What you will bring to the team:
- Previous experience in a similar Contract Advisor or Contract Administrator position within the engineering, resources or construction industry.- Proven ability to administer and prepare correspondence, position papers on contractual/commercial matters (Analytical and drafting skills are vital).- Highly organised and energetic team member with excellent communication skills.-
- Willingness to undertake ad-hoc site travel to develop relationships with the site-based project team.
