ABOUT THIS POSITION

This is a great opportunity to join a leading global fund manager in a sales capacity and supporting a team of successful Relationship Managers. You will have the opportunity to build your sales skills by working closely with the team to engage the advice market in Australia. You will engage with a range of teams within T.Rowe Price including some of the best Portfolio Managers globally, and use your curiosity to look at the best ways to engage with advice firms, speak with them to identify opportunities for the team and progress sales opportunities and supporting our existing client relationships.

ROLE SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting the Intermediary sales team in identifying opportunities, engaging with clients and providing support where required to deliver on the sales objectives.

Principal Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is working with the team of 5 Relationship Managers and Head of Intermediary to engage with the adviser market and supporting the teams sales efforts.
- Achieve gross and net flow target whilst diversifying the business across the range of products available in the Australian market
- Partners with marketing team contacts and other sales team members to develop promotional & pitch ideas and materials
- Works with marketing and shared services teams to draft client materials for requests for proposal, client pitches, etc. Keeps abreast of client relationship activity occurring throughout the firm to support responses to inquiries. Liaises remotely with relevant business contacts (internally and externally) to coordinate service to the client. Escalates relevant issues to senior team members or management.
- Initiates and develops relationships with clients and business prospects to obtain meetings and deliver presentations on products and services. Generates new leads through client and market research.
- Independently conducts market and industry research aligned with applicable regulatory requirements, industry trends, and competitor services/offerings and synthesizes data. Conducts research to support the development of client specific sales strategies and material generation. Analyzes the effectiveness of current initiatives. Completes assigned action plan implementation tasks and may assign implementation activities to less experienced professionals. Performs a range of analyses of data, trends, plan changes, and strategies to keep up to date with sales/relationship performance. Manages client inquiries and resolves problems within scope of knowledge.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven record of 2+ years in the financial services industry (preferably in asset management)
- knowledge of the Australian Financial Advice market.
- An understanding of investing
- Energy, enthusiasm and passion
- Strong integrity and high ethical standards
- A confident self-starter
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills including the ability to represent T Rowe Price Australia and all our fund range

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 2+ years of total relevant work experience
