**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Manager - Major Project the Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities the deconstruction of old water treatment tanks and the construction of new tanks, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong focus on safety, project coordination, and team leadership.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Newman, WA and will be FIFO out of Perth working on a 14/7 roster.

**What you’ll do**
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to the project schedule.
- Lead, mentor, and direct field crews, subcontractors, and labourers to ensure that all tasks are performed safely and to the highest standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to company and regulatory safety procedures, ensuring a zero-harm environment on site.
- Track the progress of construction activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and the project stays on schedule.
- Oversee the scheduling and management of material deliveries, equipment, and construction resources to ensure that they are available when needed and that the site operates efficiently.
- Act as the primary point of contact for addressing and resolving any on-site issues or disputes that may arise during construction.

**What we’re looking for**
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control practices.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and resource management.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple construction teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
