**About Us**:
Coma is a contemporary art gallery located across two venues in Sydney. We represent and showcase a diverse range of local and international artists, many of which have shown in major museums, biennales and commercial galleries across the globe.

**About the Role**:
COMA is looking for an experienced sales professional to drive business, initiate customer outreach, grow the gallery’s client database and contribute to overall sales strategy. We are looking for someone who is results-oriented, enthusiastic and hard-working to work closely with the gallery’s directors and managers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to drive sales and increase customer loyalty.
- Expand and diversify client database through targeted outreach and data mining.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively engaging with clients, providing product information, and answering any questions they may have.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest art trends and exhibitions to provide informed advice to clients.
- Manage inventory on online sales portals.
- Update and maintain Contacts in Artlogic.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and sales.

**Requirements**:

- 1-3 years of experience in sales and a passion for contemporary art.
- Proven track record in sales and achieving sales targets.
- Positive attitude with the ability to express yourself confidently and clearly.
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets and CRM systems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments with multiple tasks.

Hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. Additional hours required for art fairs, events and openings.

This is a full time position. Salary and benefits are to commensurate with experience.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chippendale, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
