Your new role

We have an opportunity for a highly experienced and results driven HSET Superintendent to play an integral role the day-to-day safe operations across multiple sites in the Bowen Basin, QLD.

Responsibilities of this role include:

- Ensure all operations and personnel comply with Company policies, procedures, applicable legislative requirements and Client requirements
- Provide direction, leadership and support for the implementation and maintenance of an effective safety and health management system
- Actively find methods to reduce operational risk and promote risk management processes to the workforce
- Oversee the development, review and improvement of health & safety management system and work procedures
- Oversee reporting, investigations, audits and compliance
- Work closely with the client in the delivery of operations, including providing guidance on best practice and process improvement
- Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies and initiatives
- Show strong commitment to achieving high safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture
- Maintain current knowledge of all government and organisation guidelines, regulation and legislative requirements
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions

What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience working as a principal contractor or owner operator would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to build sound working relationships with clients, management and staff at varied levels in the organisation
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment & G1, G2, G8 & G9
- ICAM investigator certified (Lead Investigator).
- ICAM and/or TAPROOT incident investigation experience
- Current Drivers Licence & RII Light Vehicle
- Drug and Alcohol testing certification
- First Aid Certificate
