**How will I Help?**

The Associate Director - ESG, Data role sits within the Chief Operating Office of the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), part of Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB).

In this role you will help build and develop the data and reporting implementation requirements for ESG-related commitments and targets. You will have exposure to and partner with senior management and external stakeholders including our assurance partners.

This role will develop strategy for external ESG data providers and sources to deliver value and resolve gaps in available data, including developing RFPs, relationships, and contracts where required. You will also Collaborate to ensure data can be easily extracted for internal and public reporting and monitoring purposes, in particular Net Zero and will Support the build of infrastructure outside of core systems to facilitate tactical/short-term data requirements

With a background in data, data visualisation, and data infrastructure you will be responsible for the following;
- Build data visualisations to support requirements for live data to facilitate ESG processes, targets and commitments, in particular Net Zero
- Map ESG data into the customer journey and value chains and clarify how data is utilised by end consumers
- Analyse and prioritise ESG data fields for integration into existing core systems considering data consumers requirements
- Determine optimised ESG data field placement in core systems
- Support Technology teams in execution of data field integration into core systems, including testing
- Identify ESG data fields which should be classified as Critical Data Elements or Key Data Elements, map data lineage and perform controls assessment
- Coordinate and align ESG data activities with BAU data roadmap to ensure efficiency
- Support the development of an ESG data repository which facilitates current and emerging data needs for ESG reporting for WIB, Treasury and Group functions and the Board

**What do I need?**

To be successful you will have the following:

- Experience with analysing and manipulating data as well as data visualisation
- Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences in clear and concise manner using data to underpin the story
- Tertiary education with a focus on data and numerical analytics
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, Power BI, QlikView
- Collaborating and delivering outcomes with Data Architecture and Technology teams
- Team player with high energy levels
- Open to mentoring and coaching more junior team members
- The ability to work autonomously
- Experience or passion for delivering ESG related value to corporate and institutional clients as well as client centric activities
