**Your new role**

As OH&S Coordinator, this is an exciting opportunity to:

- Operate within a business partnering model to implement best practice safety standards and influence a ‘Safety is Everyone’s Priority’ approach.
- Work in partnership with leaders across all departments providing support and on-going development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs, policies, procedures and practices.
- Promote occupational health and safety principles throughout the organisation to ensure that the Council’s employees and contractors are able to perform their roles safely.

**What you'll need to succeed**
Relevant qualification in OH&S or related discipline with demonstrated experience working hands-on in an OH&S environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of OHS legislation, codes, regulations and licences.

Highly developed written skills and ability to prepare reports, submissions and policy papers.

Demonstrated ability to identify innovative solutions to manage OHS risks, preferably in a public sector environment.
