**About the role**

You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you drive community and family engagement, with children at the heart of your service philosophy.

The role of Room Leader role will involve:

- Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
- Assisting with the mentoring of permanent and casual employees
- Following an approved curriculum, where you will be a role modelling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
- Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
- Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
- Ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in care

This is a full time opportunity at Pakenham YMCA Early Learning Centre with an hourly rate of $31.78.

**Qualifications required**
- Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood / Children’s Services or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
- Working with Children Card

**About the Centre**

Pakenham YMCA Early Learning Centre encompasses 6 rooms, with 104 places, operating Monday - Friday, 6.30am - 6.30pm. Working in alignment with YMCA Victoria’s philosophy, our ELC setting prides itself in teaching a calm and structured learning environment where children are exposed to high quality education.
