We are seeking an experienced Google Ads Specialist to lead and grow our Google Ads department. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who is passionate about delivering measurable results, taking ownership of the department, and driving client success. You will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and optimising Google Ads campaigns to maximise ROI for our clients. Day-to-day tasks include keyword research, ad copy creation, bid management, performance analysis, client liaison and reporting. The role also involves staying updated with Google Ads trends and best practices, conducting A/B testing to improve ad performance, and collaborating with other departments to align advertising strategies with overall marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Google Ads Department Leadership:
    Take full ownership of the Google Ads department, treating it as your own, and ensuring its growth and success.
  • Client Strategy & Management:
    Plan, strategise, and execute tailored strategies for clients while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution:
    Set clear expectations, KPIs, and goals for each campaign to ensure measurable success.
  • Campaign Performance & Management:
    Perform keyword research, ad creation, manage performance and bid management.
  • Hands-On & Team Oversight:
    While hands-on Google Ads work will be required, you may oversee an existing Google Ads staff member, ensuring they meet their
    duties and KPIs.
  • Sales & Proposals:
    Handle inbound sales inquiries and create proposals for new leads to help expand the Google Ads department.
  • Tools, Tracking & Reporting:
    Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console and Tag Manager, as well as being able to monitor performance, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Competitive & Industry Analysis:
    Stay ahead of marketing trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to refine strategies.

About You:

  • Experienced SEO Leader:
    Proven expertise in Google Ads account management, with a track record of delivering real results.
  • Strategic Thinker:
    Ability to
    formulate, implement, and oversee Google Ads game plans for multiple clients.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical skills for performance analysis and reporting.
  • Strong Client Manager:
    Comfortable handling client meetings, explaining strategies, and setting clear expectations.
  • Results-Driven:
    Ability to set
    KPI-driven goals
    and ensure strategies align with client objectives.
  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent & Proactive:
    Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    Knowledge of Wordpress website editing, GTM implementation & testing, A/B testing and optimisation techniques.
  • Sales & Business Development Mindset:
    Ability to put together proposals and drive new business opportunities.
  • Leadership & Oversight:
    Experience in managing or mentoring team members, ensuring they meet performance goals.
  • Dog-Friendly Attitude:
    We have an office dog, so you must be comfortable around pets

What Success Looks Like:

Consistently improving client campaigns, via quality lead acquisition, consistent lead flows, decreasing costs per conversions, and delivering actionable recommendations that align with client goals.

Monitoring and enhancing key Ads metrics, including keyword targeting, click-through rates, bounce rates, conversions and lead quality analysis.
