AOD Team Members

The role will provide support to participants and staff of the Bridgehaven Program to assist with transport to external appointments, role modelling daily living skills such as cleaning and cooking, and coordinating outings and activities. Hours are negotiable between 9.00am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Weekend volunteer hours also available.
- Key responsibilities
- Transport - Coordinate transport arrangements for participants when required to attend external appointments.
- Participant activities - Assist Day Support Worker coordinate activities and community outings for AOD participants.
- Daily lifeskills - Assist in development of lifeskills for AOD Participants such as cooking, cleaning, nutrition and personal hygiene.
- Connect with participants - Engage informally with AOD participants, helping them feel welcome and supported, to experience a trusted and reliable environment.
- Qualifications and skills (desired/required)
- Experience in supporting those with an addiction - work experience and/or lived experience
- Keen interest in working with people experiencing addiction and committed to supporting their recovery journey
- First Aid certificate highly regarded
