**The Role**

The OPMH Clinical Nurse brings a wealth of clinical experience, specialist knowledge, and professional skill to deliver exceptional care for older adults. By planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive range of services, you’ll address the diverse needs of consumers, their families, and carers with expertise and compassion.

In this role, you will provide top-notch mental health nursing services across various health settings, drawing on your advanced experience and/or further studies. As a Clinical Nurse, you will progress from a competent to a proficient practitioner, taking responsibility for your practice standards, overseeing delegated tasks, and mentoring less experienced staff.

While the role remains predominantly clinical, you’ll also take on portfolio responsibilities tailored to your career development goals, as outlined in your performance review. This balanced approach ensures you continue to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in your field.
- Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice._
