We require a proactive and analytical Procurement Officer to support the Procurement team to implement and maintain best practice across all procurement functions. You will need to be highly proficient in using a range of software including ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Suite. You will be integral in selecting and evaluating all current and potential suppliers, possessing the ability to multi-task, work well collaboratively, and possess exceptional attention to detail. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate suitability of recommended suppliers
- Undertake negotiations with suppliers to meet quality, quantity, cost and delivery requirements
- Maintain accurate supplier pricing in database
- Optimizing raw material inventory levels
- Sourcing alternative suppliers
- Purchasing of Inventory requirements to meet Production orders and Sales requirements.

**To be successful in this role**:

- 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Current purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Ability to liaise with a variety of departments including Sales, Production, Warehouse and Engineering.
- An absolute can do attitude with the ability to think outside the square
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong excel and analytical skills
- ERP system experience highly advantageous - preferably M3, SAP, MFG Pro or AX
