- **We are looking for a dynamic Associate Director, International Operations Liaison to be the connection point between corporate services and NSW’s international network to ensure the smooth, compliant, and strategic operation of the network.**:
- **Ongoing full-time role, grade 11/12 based in 52 Martin Place, Sydney**
**About the role.**
The Associate Director, International Operations Liaison, Investment NSW, Premier’s Department serves as the central contact, triage and point of escalation between corporate services and NSW's international network. The role will ensure a focus on the operational needs and requirements of the international network across corporate services, ensuring policies, processes and communications are fit for purpose, and operations are executed in compliance with domestic and international jurisdictions where NSW has a presence.
**As the Associate Director you will**:
- Establish a thorough understanding of the operational needs of each of Investment NSW’s offshore regional teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of work within policy and jurisdictional compliance requirements.
- Coordinate between corporate services and the international network to ensure smooth operations and compliance with policies.
- Work closely with business partners from finance, governance, IT, risk, legal, property and people and culture to ensure international operational matters are identified, responded to, managed and resolved in compliance with domestic and international regulations.
- Maintain key relationships with stakeholders such as Austrade and government agencies to support the network.
- Ensure proper issue management and compliance and contribute to strategic projects to support global objectives.

- You have relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
- You are highly experienced working with, or at an international post for a State or Federal Government agency, such as Austrade or the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
- You have expertise in supporting international operations or conducting international business, with a strong financial acumen.
- You have proven project management experience with strong leadership and the ability to effectively influence senior external stakeholders.
- You display understanding of, or capacity to quickly develop knowledge of, NSW Government policies, programs, and legislation, with the ability to stay current on reforms and best practices in international operations to provide informed recommendations in a dynamic environment.
- You have a demonstrated track record of practical problem solving of operational challenges in arms-length or geographically distanced environments
- You demonstrate strong skills in research, analysis, strategic thinking, and project management, including experience in developing strategic policy and preparing Ministerial advice aligned with Government objectives.
- You can represent an organisation with authority and credibility, demonstrating excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills across government and business sectors.

**Salary**: Clerk Grade 11/12. Package includes base salary ($139,787 - $161,663) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
