Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery. **The Opportunity**: - 12 month contract (covering parental leave) - Full time (may consider 4 days) - Sydney - This is an opportunity to join an organisation in their standalone Employment team - You will have a few direct reports and while there is some traffic directing, this role is very much "on the tools" - Build your portfolio legal career with this well-known and highly regarded team **Job overview/skills **needed**: - Experienced Employment lawyer - the work is external facing rather than BAU internal issues so relevant experience of dealing with litigation is necessary - Ability to work with the Australian and NZ arm of the business (NZ law experience not necessary) - Ability to manage external facing issues, including an understanding of the issues and recent reforms affecting the "gig" economy - Ability to work autonomously and prioritise - Ability to be a doer and confident being on the tools - A minimum of 10 years' experience - The ability to understand and adapt to the needs of the business - A current practising certificate **Why join Ashurst Reach?** Ashurst Reach offers our alumni, clients and other top-tier lawyers and paralegals the flexibility to choose how they work.
